This is V2 of the the thing I made last month (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2964061). NEW AND IMPROVED!
Uses substantially less material (Approx 75% lighter per linear meter of shelf).
Prints faster.
Holds minis of standard plastic weight (if you have metal minis use V1)
You only need one row, not two rows since the trays set nicely and don't tip
Interlocking parts drastically reduce the number of clips needed
Narrower trays catch on the supports less often without compromising storage space
Stack more stably

I wanted to keep more of my minis from games such as Conan, Massive Darkness, Nova Aetas, Zombiecide, Swords and Sorcery, Mythic Battles, and others visible. Shelves are typically too deep, specimen drawers are expensive and enclosed, and risers don't make use of the space well.
So I've made an organizer that works like a desktop file holder, but instead is modular and lets you put your minis on display. The minis bases fit in the channels in the tray for easy retrieval. You can pull out a tray for any given game then slip them back in when you're done. The depth of the trays means you can store like models in a row while still showing off the breath of the collection.
For my particular shelves I've divided them so I can print the system on a Prusa MK3. That means two 3 tier shelves, two 2 tier shelves, and 12 trays per 200mm of linear shelf. The trays will hold roughly 36 minis each, depending on how compact they are. That's over 400 minis per liner 200mm of shelf. The system is designed to fit snugly together. For my particular setup tall and monstrous models will live on the top shelves, but I will add more options for spacing as I start to sort my collection into the system.
As far as I can tell right now the shelves themselves should fit snugly and not tip or fall, but a dab of superglue on the feet and corners between sections may provide some insurance. I will experiment with ways to weld the mini trays together.
