Dan Gelbart ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otSjut1iGGk ) shows how to use this tool at 2 minutes in on his awesome Prototyping YouTube series.
"Virtually Vitamin Free" cost all up less than $1 !!!
Requires a 2032 button cell, a laser pointer and this 3D printed part.
you can get 10 of these laser pointers for $1.90 US on aliexpress.http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-10P-5V-650nm-5mW-Laser-Red-Dot-Module-red-laser-sight-red-laser-diode/32354307065.html
there are 2 locations for the 2032, one is an interference fit to the laser leads, the other is a storage place for the battery (laser off) when not in use.
The laser pointer is focussed by rotating the brass sleeve to get the finest point where appropriate for your centre finding experience!
