For protection of microscope slide samples for storage or transport.
Update 03/17/14
After 1st prototype print, it is apparent that several changes need to be made. the slot for the slide is a little too tight (need to open up ~2~5%) and the groove for the lid needs to be shifted up (at least) the height of the interfering snap-close bumps. Other than that, it printed beautifully on my FDM printer.
Update 03-18-14
After some minor tweaking, updated to version 2b (Latest Version).
Although it is not fully tested yet, I am uploading version 2 of the assembly.
Update 06-11-15
Designed a 5-slide version in response to user comment. Also added numbers on one side to affix (or write) labels for slide descriptions. Minimum Z clearance for each slide surface is 2 mm. PRINT AT YOUR OWN RISK, THIS DESIGN HAS NOT BEEN TESTED YET !!!
