When doing microscopy, one has to deal with cover slips that need cleaning. Drying with cloth or paper towel tends to leave fibers and sometimes streaks that interfere with its use. This holds cover slips separate so they can dry and be easily picked up for later use. The lid contains them so you can transport or store them, clean. There are little vents so any moisture will dry away.
I suggest washing and rinsing slide covers, then spraying them with distilled water so you don't get hard water deposits. You can then allow them to dry and store them here.
This works for cover slips that are 22x22mm. Be careful with cover slips as the edges can be sharp.
