Fictional Ship] The MEV-01 (Mass-Entry Vehicle 1) Albatross is the Planetary Republic's main mass-landing vehicle. At 2000 feet in length, this ship can carry anything imaginable from vehicles, smaller ships, troops to simple supplies, food, and raw materials. Intended to land in large, deep bodies of water or large, flat areas of land, the Albatross enters the atmosphere in a controlled burn, using the atmosphere to slow it down for eventual landing. The engines on the rear of the craft are used when the craft enters the lower atmosphere, allowing it to have a smoother landing. the main engines can also be used if the ship is in water, and can also be used to beach the ship to make a semi-permanent construction. The Albatross is considered to be 'disposable' never leaving the planet it lands on in one piece.
