Run wires through this and wrap the bare conductors around the two points of contact to the pump. Then connect the other end of the wires to a 1.2-1.5v power source, such as an external AA battery pack.
Warning: Most AA battery packs are wires in series, and increase the voltage. Don't destroy your pump. Only use AA batteries wired in parallel.
