This is my version of the Masterspool-project from Richard Horne (RichRap)
His idea was, that filament manufacturers won't selling there filament with spool holders anymore, but with cable ties. These Spools can than put into a "MasterSpool", which can be screwed apart. after inserting the filament into the first half of the MasterSpool, the second half can be screwed on.
The adventages of my version of the masterspool are the less need of material and printtime.
If you want to lower the printtime even further, you can cut the sideplates out of Wood.
You can do this very easy with a lasercutter, cnc router or a jigsaw. After you printed and sawed the parts, you can screw them together with M3 bolds and nuts.
P.S. My native language is german. If you found any grammatical errors please write me a message.
Thank you very much in advance.
UPDATE 18. February 2018
Version 2 now available.
You can print the middle Parts and use the old sideplates, but with the new sideplates you can use cable-ties to remove the filamentspool.
Version1 and Version2 are not compatible with each other.
UPDATE 16. February 2018
New version of spoolholder in development!
Release on 18. February 2018.
