Run your power, ground, and trigger to the board through the underbelly of your 3dr solo and out the side of the radio gaps. I had to insert a flathead screwdriver through the gap and oscillate to obtain a wide enough opening for the extra insulated wire I used. Unfortunately, I have noticed a decrease in the range of my Solo. I would suggest you add a shielding loop to prevent the interference caused by running 5v and a pwm signal next to the drone's link to your ability to control it.
I super-glued mine in place and it is rock-solid.
