Update 2015-12-07:
I've finally printed this thing and found the design didn't mate as expected.
So I've updated the parts using screws instead of little fragile nails, and added some more play between the gears.
Now the winch works as expected!
The ratio is: (sun_teeth_n+planet_teeth) / (ext_teeth / 2)
in this case: (24 + 18) / (60 / 2) = 36 / 30 = 1.2.
this means that after 1 handle turn, the winch turns 1.2 ruonds.
The 'sun' gear is fixed on the base axis, the handle turn the 3 planets, which multiply the external gear rotation, which is attached to the winch.
It doesn't use any bearing, so maybe the friction will be too much, but with some grease...
I would be glad if someone would like to print it and tell me if it fits and work.
