This is a beefier fan bracket for the MakerGear M2. It mounts to the 40 mm extruder cooling fan and supports the 50 mm bed fan. It has a nice wire "shelf" for mounting two strips of LEDs.
The LEDs are from Radio Shack and come in a spool. I bought a couple spools to be used for other purposes, and I used the LEDs from the packaging -- not the spool -- a strip of three with wires already neatly terminated! Two of these strips are wired in series to give 24 volt supply -- then wired in parallel with the extruder cooling fan. LEDs are mounted to the bracket using Scotch double-face adhesive foam mounting tape.
The LEDs make it much easier to see problems with the first few layers of the print so you can stop and reset while wasting less filament.
Also, I used a 40 degree angle for the 50 mm fan, not 45 degrees. This holds the lower end up a bit to ensure it doesn't hit the binder clips holding the glass on the bed.
Enjoy!
