Magnetic Puck Light

Printing Christmas gifts for students. Cody requested a Pikachu. We geeked-out over adding a light to same.
LEDs were not providing enough light, so I went with a buck converter and a salvaged Christmas Tree light bulb (2.v - 5v.) (*)
We also thought that having a figurine-activated, magnetic switch would be cool, too: Needed a neodymium to get thru the lid, even @ 0.5mm. The gauss destroyed a classic reed switch, so I designed the lid to use a handmade, steel wire switch.
Results were amazing - right down to the "click-click" that toggles the light when we seat the figurine! Designed to fit a 9V battery + power converter.

(*) Holiday testing proved that 4V provides best lighting, w/o burnout. You could easily use a lower-voltage LED strategy, as well.
Other versions (using coin cells, USB power, etc, etc.) sure to follow!
