In order to clean steel chips from my lathe and bench drill I occasionally use neodymium magnets. The problem is that the magnets are strong and that I cannot easily remove the magnetized steel chips and throw them in the trash can.
To avoid this problem I decided to build this little and simple Magnetic Chip Cleaner to help me.
Materials Used:
1) 50mm PVC pipe with length of 170mm long
2) Stainless rod Diameter 10mm, length 220mm
3) 12mm thick HDPE 200x200mm
4) 6x M4x20mm screws
5) Blue Thread locker
Tools Used:
1) Rabbit Mill v2.0 Desktop CNC - https://www.sourcerabbit.com
2) 180x350mm Mini Lathe
3) M4 Thread Tap
4) M6 Thread tap
