Here's my first attempt at a Google SketchUp model. It is still a work in progress. Credit for the pilot and ejection seat models go to MAX GRUETER. The M7A3 is the third generation variant of the M7 Petraeus series. The M7 was designed as an urban fighing vehicle that could maneuver around tight spaces to support infantry as well as provide heavy fire support where wheeled or tracked vehicles cannot traverse. The upper portion of the chassis features a hydraulic buffer system that minimizes cockpit 'bounce' and allows for more accurate fire on the move. The gas turbine engine mounted in the rear pod behind the cockpit provides secondary gyroscopic stabilization in conjunction with a centrally located stabilizer. The M7A3 is capable of speeds of up to 35 miles per hour on flat terrain.
