a very light all-in-one 144mm frame for the e011 flight controller.
the mounting posts are 29mm apart, and 2mm diameter. note you must remove the battery and the motor sockets to install the board :)
adds: about finished with teh first build (8520s).. its extremely tight getting anything in the frame.. fc, (M7 lens size) camera, and (eachine) vtx.. not for teh impatient. thoughts: i did not, but its a good candidate for putting teh crystal under teh board. i soldered my motors directly, however teh motor sockets could be added upsidedown once the board is installed. its that tight :)
the "toes" are to help hold the arms in place during printing and are not intended to be part of the finished piece. please note that this design is intended to sustain flight and not impact :)
information.txt contains special license conditions necessary for retailing this item or any derivative. they are somewhat bizarre i suppose but not especially difficult or time consuming.
FIRST FLIGHT RESULTS:
frame is light and fast for the span! i prefer larger frame spans as i theorise greater distance between props increases efficiency by reducing redundancy. absolutely mashed on first landing, all split at thin verticals due to lamination. i think almost every vertically oriented beam snapped, enough to detach one side. this may have to do with my early stage of learning printing. i have switched this model from WIP to complete.. it flies well, superior manufacturing to my process is required to sustain landing. perhaps sintering as lamination is obviously not taken into account for this design.
i like to add foam (banggood's white packing, preferably two layers which is quite bouncy) squares around the motors as bumpers/feet. i live in the desert so about every landing involves a hard impact transient, which has different structural implications than crashing somewhere with ground cover. YMMV. but definately not a good candidate for risky flight.
