I like the ability that Simplify3D allows a model of the printer to be added as a reference when laying out a print bed. I use a LulzBot Mini and Simplify3D doesn't come with a model for the Mini by default so I made my own! I assembled the model from STL's and drawings retrieved from http://devel.lulzbot.com/
