Fruits of an Ongoing attempt to make a printable posable Lulu from FFX - the FixedFixed Sitter2 is the most recent file (and Slic3r says there are no problems, so, here's hoping!)
(Original model downloaded from http://tf3dm.com/3d-model/lulu-49414.html had a lot of not-remotely-printable issues - her dress was a solid cone, most of her polys are single-sided, etc. Imported Heather Mason's legs (took off the base, yikes that's a lot of polys), trying to fix the file and pose it; I'm reluctant to collapse it all into one mesh until it's posed, as it seems it's going to be a lot harder to pull them back apart...ah learning.)
Following up on an amazingly helpful suggestion from solidt, I posed it in XNALara, fixed it with the MakePrintable app, roughly modeled the top of my laptop in FreeCAD, then boolean'd them both in Blender, (then fixed them again with the MakePrintable app)
UPDATE - now with legs from http://xxmauroxx.deviantart.com/art/Cynthia-velasquez-288874904 ! I'm onto something exciting now (and even more out of my depth than ever before!) Incidentally if you want to make your own with totes free tools, there's a blender plugin at http://johnzero7.deviantart.com/art/XPS-to-Blender-2-7x-Blender-internal-the-easy-way-489500171 so you can download someone's XPS model, pose it, save it, and open it in Blender - or just open it straight in Blender if you want.
If your monitor isn't exactly 1cm thick, I've included the in-process files - scale accordingly, or you can remix your own!
Another Update Version 3 has some repairs to the back of the dress, and the fabric thickened slightly; should be printable with soluble supports. I'll have to make a Version 4 with the ankles crossed to make it strong enough for single-extruder printing....
