A compact Particle Monitor Station Enclosure that should keep both the rain and the bugs out!
I have tried to design an air sampling path and exhaust path that are separated to minimize recirculation also and the sampling path is short with low volume so it should be more responsive to short term variations.
Please note that a group of us here in Sheffield England have discovered the hard way that spiders love to make a home in the inlet tube and webs can make perfect particle filters.
The hardware required is:
9 off M2.5 x 5mm pan head screws for board mounting
6 off M3x12mm pan head screws for the lid.
4 off M3x12mm pan head screws for the lid
External screws would be better in stainless steel
Length of tube to fit over the SDS011 sensor inlet cut close to the bug filter (about 2mm) to make sure you are sampling outside air.
The Mount simply screws onto the back and has four lugs for wall mounting on screws and also slots for tywrapping to posts and drainpipes.
I left the mount separate so that custom mounts could be added at a later stage.
There is also scope for design of a battery pack that could mount on the rear screw holes - watch this space...
Hope you take a look at my design and share it if you find it helpful
