The Chibitronics Love-to-Code can be debugged and upgraded using Single Wire Debug (SWD). It's possible to connect an LtC board to a Raspberry Pi and use OpenOCD to load new code and debug the operating system.
However, to attach wires to the LtC board, you need to solder them directly to the pads, marring the clean look of the board.
In a factory, they use a test jig with "pogo pins" to touch down on the spot temporarily.
Slip the "debug shoe" over the LtC board, insert some wires, and get the same benefits of a test jig without needing to build one yourself, or carry it around with you!
