Designed by Alfred S. Alschuler and built in 1922, the London Guarantee Building is one of the most prominent examples of classical revival architecture in the city of Chicago. Situated on the bend of the central section of the Chicago River, it is directly across the river from other historic Chicago beauties: the Wrigley Building and the Chicago Tribune Tower. The space defined by these building is one of Chicago's greatest public spaces. The building is also built on the site of the original Fort Dearborn, which was around until 1853.
