When shooting toy camera and Lomography stills, I love the element of surprise that inherently adds so much fun to the process. Sometimes that surprise is finding the focus on something completely unintended but mesmerizing or a lens flare that shines on just the right part of the image. It's hoping for the best and letting go of complete control.
The Color-ring is an LED ring flash for the Lomo'instant camera. When turned on, the ring continuously flashes in a random sequence of colors and patterns. This illuminates the objects in frame while adding another level of uncontrollable awesomeness. Just take the shot, hope for the best combination of colors for your image, then watch as the image develops.
