It's a rail box for a LM2596 Buck converter that fits nicely onto an Ender 3.
The case needs supports whilst it prints, the lid doesn't need supports. It snaps together pretty tightly, although you may end up snapping it if you try to pry it back off a rail, so measure/set everything before clipping it to the frame.
