The Llanwern International Circuit is a fictional circuit created for the GPworld series. The circuit is built on the ground of the huge steelworks site at Llanwern, near Newport. The circuit, the first purpose built GPWS venue, was built to host the second Welsh Grand Prix, after Anglesey circuit held the race the first year. The track seen is ready for the GPworld series event at the circuit, with sponsor boards and stands up. The track is an undulating circuit with many straights, sweepers, hairpins and kinks. The circuit is of International standard, with many layouts (Club, National, International 1, International 2 and GP), huge car parks, lots of run off, spectator banks, pedestrian bridges, underpasses and 2 pit/paddock areas, allowing 2 races to be run simultaneously. The circuit is also open all year round, with the circuit hosting rounds of the British Touring Car Championship on the short 'club' circuit, British Formula 3 on the International circuit, World Series by Renault on the GP circuit, club events on both the 'Club' and 'National' circuits and a WSBK round on the National circuit. The area around the first couple of turns can be used to stage major events, such as concerts, with the large bowl creating a stadium effect. Predicted lap time of full GP layout is over 2 minutes. #car #circuit #F1 #formula #formula_1 #GP #GPWS #grand_prix #newport #race #racing #series #stadium #track #wales #world #world_series
