Simple live box trap parts. Design is scalable and just build the box to suit what ever you want to trap.
Few Hints
The lever release is designed to angle towards the back to help with the release.
The lever release and the trap door will need to be notched as in the picture to get the release tension just right for your preference.
On the latch you will notice a small loop to turn the trap into a remote release. Just disconnect the side spring with the top spring. Takes just a second. Just hook a line through the guide and to the loop.
*** The release is now here. It is just a simple drop on attachment that you put on top of the trap when you want to use the remote release. I found even with almost no tension on the spring it could snap the trap release arm. Notice in the picture that there is no tension on the top spring now. Also I glued a foam pad about an inch thick to avoiding, which could loosen the hinges over time slamming too hard.
The picture should be enough to build the basic box. The one in the picture is 18 inches long and its a good rabbit size.
The top release and lever are obvious to put together as you will just need a 5mm pin to drop into the slot and through the lever. The lever should be friction less in it's movement.
The top hinge fits into a 1 1/8 inch hole. so the round part is oriented down and the slot for the 5mm pin faces up. You just assemble it before screwing it down. I will become obvious.
If there are more questions about how things go just ask and I'll try and hopefully make it easier. I just build them but can't write an instruction manual worth a darn.
On the latch and spring anchors I made it High .1mm with 50% infill as the first try on the latch the post broke so I made the post bigger and more infill. I just tinker them I am not a structural engineer. ;)
