Parts for a small liquid fueled rocket engine that I designed using equations from "How to Design, Build and Test Small Liquid-Fuel Rocket Engines." Would burn kerosene and LOX at 0.75 lb/sec at a mixture ratio of 2.2 and a thrust of 191 lbs. ISP of 255 seconds. Plan is to make molds of the printed parts and then cast them out of metal.
The combustion chamber is the major component of this engine, it is encapsulated by two cooling jackets which run kerosene along the outside of the combustion chamber allowing for pre-heating of the fuel and cooling of the combustion chamber. Injector design is not yet finished but will be posted when so.
The XLS-191 (experimental liquid system, 191 lbs thrust) is a small regeneratively cooled rocket engine deigned to collect data on liquid rocket engine firing so that a larger engine might be built at a later point.
Comments and criticisms are openly welcomed. Feel free to reach out to me if you want to know more about how this was designed.
