Linear Rail Y Axis for any 2020 framed printer like a Wilson II or LulzBot etc.
The aim was to test the idea of a robust, mostly printed Y axis that could be scaled to take a larger and heavier bed.
UPDATE: Make the Linear Bearing Rail hole 0.2 larger in both end plates.
I used cheap Y axis is SBR12-500mm Linear Bearing Rails and SBR12UU Sliding Block from ebay. To my surprise they where very straight and with the cost being so low I would consider this a better choice for even a 200x300 bed due to the fact the rails are so straight.
ADDED: Y_axis_motor_endplate_Open_TEST.stl another 0.2 opened up Look for the corresponding name with "Open" in the name.
Added:
Clamp blocks Y_axis_linear_rail_clamp.stl to clamp the Linear Rails to the Frame. The use M5 and M3 bolts and nuts to clamp the Y axis in place.
8x M3 x 60mm
8x M5 x 25mm
A test part Y_axis_endplate_TEST_12.15mm.stl to check if your Linear Rail will fit before you print a whole end plate.
Added: A DWG file bed_2030_lulzbot.dwg of proposed holes for the SBR12UU Sliding Block. This is a for a 200x300 bed and for 4 or 3 Bearing Blocks.
A DXF file 3030_heatbed.dxf for fitting the 24volt RepRap PCB Heatbed 300x300mm.

These 2 bed plates are UNTESTED and may need the 5mm holes adjusted if the Chinese Blocks are drilled off as they sometimes are. So a little care and checking to make sure it all runs free.
In the pics you will notice I have 3 bearings on the rails... I actually used 4 but 3 will work as good I would guess.
