Light and compact packfilm camera body. Designed for use with the later Polaroid packfilm back on the Mamiya Press system. This body will not work with any of the the roll film or older polaroid backs. But it can work with the M-adapter and cut film backs, or G-adapter, and use RB67 or Graflok 23 backs.
Lens mount is designed for a tight enough fit on most lenses, and doesn’t always require a set screw. Use (1) M2x8 knurled hex screw & M2 nut as needed for the set screw.
“B” version includes additional cold shoes, but fitment of many accessories will be limited. It is advised to use adapters/extenders on the main version, or add your own cold shoes into your version. I didn't want to thicken the body just to accommodate the cold shoes, but maybe someone can take a stab at it.
Print with the lens mount facing up for best results.
This design is for use only with the smaller later Polaroid packfilm back. A "retaining pin" style of lock will hold the back in place with 2.25mm-thick clothes-hanger wire cut to length. Long 2.5 allen keys can be used with a slight modification of the holes at the bottom.
I refined this design based on my test results with Carbon Fiber Polycarbonate, so some dimensions may be too tight or too loose for your material. Be advised you may need to reprint based on your lens and back dimensions as well, as Mamiya Press system has great glass but not the best tolerances.
Ideal distance from the first lip of the lens mount (where the lens tabs rest), to the film plane should be 61.35mm, no more than 61.5mm, and no less than 61.25mm.
