The is an adapter to convert lifecam Cinema webcam to 1.25 eyepiece adapter autoguider.
The infernal cylinder is exactly as wide as the plastic housing of the webcam once you remove outer metal and microphone parts. You may want to sand it a bit if the camera does not go in easily.
