This is version 1 of my Flexible Modular LED Mounts. I am working on a version 2 which has a slimmer profile due to a simplified, streamlined back cover.
I originally designed these LED mounts for the Monoprice Mini Select but they can be used to clamp onto any piece of material up to 1mm thick.
I decided to add some light to my printing bed after I started using black filament on BuildTak which is incredibly hard to see those first few crucial layers go down.
These mounts hold standard 5mm LEDs which should snap in with no glue needed. Each mount has 2 wire guides to keep your wires need and give the back cover something to snap onto. I designed several clamps for mounting the LEDs and I designed the side mounting clamps in a low profile all-in-one LED mount unit and a separate clamp that can attach a LED link for added flexibility. I tried to make the system as modular as possible to allow endless combinations of clamps and lights. I also designed a wire guide which has a reverse part as well. The wire guides use the same modular clamps as the LED links.
Please feel free to remix, reuse, and come up with your own variations of the LED links. Don't forget to upload your pics of how you used the links to help give others ideas on their own custom LED light setups.
UPDATES
2-6 Fixed Shell CR & CL for tighter fit. Noticed clamps are tighter than they need to be so will loosen up for Rev. 2. Shells don't play nice when really close to metal frame but that is also fixed in Rev. 2.
