Thin wall LED strip light supports (1mm walls) cut down on filament, weight and print time. Printable on a 200 mm X 200 mm print bed.
Print with brims, orient curved arch parts across the X axis to avoid failed prints due to Y carriage momentum print wobble.
Print (recommend printing tracks vertically):
2 x straight supports
4 x curved supports
2 x base supports
14x LED clips
Track coupler(s) optional depending upon assembly orientation. Most orientations should only require one coupler.
Print additional straight support to increase size of arch (measure additional 18.5mm worth of LED strip light per additional piece)
-Cut 2 180 mm lengths of LED strip light (for basic arch)
-Measure each strip from the center of the strip to the center of the assembled arch.
-Use double stick tape or adhesive to fix LED strips to the track supports or buy LED strips with adhesive backing.
-Use LED clips to keep LED strips in place (heat from 12V strips can cause factory adhesive to separate from tracks). Depending upon tolerances of printer, 19.5mm wide clips may fit too loose. 20mm wide clips may be too tight, but from test use, printed tracks tend to loosen up slightly in tolerance as the LED strips heat them up, making 20mm clips fit snugly into the tracks. A dab of CA glue should keep clips in place.
Optional: Mount appropriately sized plug matching the AC adapter used (drill appropriately sized hole for plug: the 12V example uses a 5.5 mm plug).
