A small script in OpenSCAD that converts a smooth input terrain in a layered one.
How to use
download and install OpenSCAD
put the script and the input stl in the same folder
open the script with OpenSCAD
replace the string "terrain.stl" with you input file name
change the parameters of the terrainSteps
the height of the input terrain
the wanted layer height
the width of the terrain
the depth of the terrain

press F5 to see a preview
if you like the result press first F6 to render
and then F7 to export it to a stl file
