This is a laser pointer mount that I made for a school outreach project: a mini Michelson interferometer. It holds a standard pocket laser pointer with two 1/4"-20 screws and is fixed with a 8-32 screw on the bottom.
You will need two 1/4"-20 standard nuts that you gently melt into the hex shaped holes at the top with a soldering iron - this give a nice strong thread to hold hold the laser in place. Its a very tight fit, this is so that once melted into place you have a solid build with no glue. The mount can be fixed to standard laser lab 1/4" or 1" posts with a 8-32 socket head screw.
