Goal: Create a nice strong wall bracket that took up most of my print bed (200mm x 200mm) and had suitable strength to hold some materials on the wall.
Result: A very strong wall mount capable of holding timber, piping and a whole lot more.
I printed three of these and spaced them nearly a metre apart, and used them to hold up some 3m lengths of decking timber, 3m lengths of steel piping and 3m lengths of aluminium piping. Print slow and with lots of infill (50%) and with 3 or 4 vertical shells (to help strengthen the screw holes) and I'm sure you'll be able to hold lots on these.
Dimensions:
110mm high (side that attaches to wall)
160mm deep (side that materials sit onto)
27.5mm thick
57.5mm lip height (height of front lip that helps stop materials rolling off bracket)
The four wall mount screw holes are 5mm in diameter (with a 9mm countersunk entry) and work perfectly with the screws below.
Wall Mount: Designed to work with 7G 30mm or 40mm plasterboard screws such as:
7G 30mm - https://www.bunnings.com.au/zenith-7g-x-40mm-bugle-head-plasterboard-screws-100-pack_p2408723
7G 40mm - https://www.bunnings.com.au/zenith-7g-x-30mm-bugle-head-plasterboard-screws-100-pack_p2408715
There are four screw mount holes for the shelf side. They are 4mm in diameter can work with the screws below. However in the pictures I provided I have not made use of these securing holes as I have just placed materials freely on the top of the mount.
Designed to work 8G 20mm screws to secure the timber shelf material to the bracket. Such as: https://www.bunnings.com.au/zenith-8g-x-20mm-zinc-plated-hinge-long-thread-timber-screws-100-pack_p2434037
Print laying flat (use your slicer to rotate the object so it is laying flat, no supports needed)
