I have used a handsaw for almost all of my pruning....but after about 30-40 years of use, sharpening has been less than effective.
I therefore designed a handle for a landscaping saw since foldable saws are as effective and the traditional non-curved designs are even less effective and less maneuverable. I chose the chain-driven saw since that is most effective and it's always good to have a spare blade...might as well use the one that will likely be utilized by most people
