These are two preliminary saddle slides for Lanakai TunaUke ukuleles. The short and tall stock versions.
They should work on any size TunaUke, baritone, concert, tenor.
I was having a problem finding spares that came with the instrument when it was new a few years ago. Then I found that Lanakai discontinued that model line and did not seem to offer the spare parts. That's where my 3D printer saved the day once again.
I have a baritone and the lowest, D string was buzzing badly. So I did a couple of iterations of short and tall saddles. A tall version on that string solved my problem.
Note that this design slides on the bottom of the bridge slots which is not how the originals work. The originals slide on the bevels of the slots, not the bottom. At some point I will refine the design to work like the original, but in the meanwhile I am back in business. Sliding on the bottom of the slot makes it easier to slide the saddle. I am not sure which is preferable.
I wanted to get this out there for those who may want to keep using their TunaUke.
The idea works well for intonating your ukulele, compared taking it to a luthier or cutting and filing new nuts and bridge saddles.
