So, this is my modified version of the vintage AE-53 diff housing/gear.
Im only uploading this one version of the gear. This gears teeth width is maximized, because if you use ARRMA part nr. AR310762 steel input gear and my modified idler, you can get much wider teethed gears. You can also use stock gears if you want, this is also compatible with them, so no worries.
I think some Kyosho models have part nr. UM-1 for gear set. That gear sets diff cover/gear is the same as the AE-53 (i know, because i ordered it).
There should be some space to shim the diff gears, if you need to shim. I used new diff gears (part nr. OT-28 if i recall correctly) with this, turns smoothly, no problems. Please take care you cross tighten the diff cover gears so you get the smooth turning diff. I also ran in my diff using cordless drill.
Uses stock bearings.
Print gear and cover upside down, so the diff outputs lay on the print bed, otherwise you might have clearance problems with diff gears.
Enjoy and please drop a comment how did it work for you, or if you want any changes to be made!
Also check my other parts that i have made to Ultima ST Racing Sports/Type-R/Evolution chassis.
