So this isn't my first 3D model, but it is the first I am placing here. Not 100% accurate, but in my mind a good enough representation as taken from the photos I have provided.
(Please note the photos included are for detail only, they are not my photos, I found them on a google search, and cannot credit the photographer).
I have split the file length ways in one version and printed it all at once on my Prusa i3 at 200% scale. Approximately 300% should give a realistic size to the finished item.
I have yet to print the version I have split into 3 pieces at 300%, but I have include locating lugs to make a strong joint when glued. This is currently printing on my i3 and I will update with the result.
I used 0.2 layer height for the first prototype, 10% infill, bed 80 Deg C for PLA. Support is required inside the cutouts if using the model split vertically, especially on the end due to the detail inside. I have included the 123D design file (if it works) so feel free to modify and improve. But please credit my original design if you do.
I will add any further info I find as I continue to print this and improve upon its design or print method.
Enjoy!
