My wife's class was exploring renewable energy using the Kidwind Turbine Kit: https://www.vernier.com/product/kidwind-basic-turbine-building-parts/
The kits only came with one hub and there were a lot of kids so the extra hubs allowed for groups of kids to build and then test their designs on the windmill.
