Kayak Roof Rack Mounts by jawilmo

It is a kayak roof rack mount. This design specifically has an adaptor for the Yakima CoreBar roof crossbars, but a different mount adaptor could be used.
Kayak Mount Interface part: 0.5 inch through hole for a 0.5 inch bolt (4.5 inch) for mating to the Yakima CoreBar Mount Adaptor. Was Printed on its side.
Yakima CoreBar Mount Adaptor part: 0.5 inch through hole for mating to Kayak Mount interface. The adaptor uses two 5/16 hex head bolts (2 inch) to mount to the CoreBar. Was printed at an angle for better multi directional strength (see pictures).
PLA parts seem pretty sturdy and survived a 30 min trip on the highway so far, but it might be better to use something like abs or nylon. No strength analysis was done on the parts, so use this design at your own risk. The Kayak Mount interface may not work well with your kayak either, so keep that in mind (thicker foam on top of the kayak mount interface would help this problem).
