A full X and Y upgrade for the K8200 3D Drag printer.
Designed to:
Encase the Y Axis cables in a cable chain.
House the Stepper motors with a Damper attached to each.
Replace the X and Y End Stop mechanisms.
Allow for proper tensioning of the Y axis belt (now using a GT2 belt)
Both the motor housings have been designed to work with the two plate damper that is available from many places (See pic).
The cable chain is 14mm x 10mm.
The motors are both fitted with a low tooth count pulley to give higher XY resolution.
The Y End Stop is derived from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:616525 by Area51 but now is a bit chunkier and incorporates the End Stop screw.
I suggest you print both the motor mounts on high/solid infill to give them plenty of rigidity.
For all this to work I did have to rotate the bearing holders on the Y Axis furthest from the motor and reduce the printable Y width from 200mm down to 196mm.
