I made this to help me make a repeatable way to place my laser engravable business cards and other square or rectangular stock.
The 7mm slots are designed to allow me to use a bolt, nut and fender washer combo to securely attach the jig to my expanded metal table. The bolt can be threaded through the top with a fender washer and nut underneath. The fender washer will keep the nut from puling through the expanded metal.
Once set up and ajusted, I can quickly and easily drop in a metal engravable card and start to burn. I don't recommend using this on materials you will be cutting out or burning through. This is for holding metal business cards or raster engraved wood only.
Dimensions are 109mm x 82mm with a bed of about 96mm x 70mm
I do test burns using these cards (they are too thin for me to want to hand out out to people: https://amzn.to/2zZixaP
These are the cards I hand out: as they have a decent thickness: https://amzn.to/2O8YB8G
The focus tower goes between the bed of the jig and the bottom of the laser head and helps me set height of the bed for consistancy. It's not a perfect height, but works frin for this purpose.
