Jim Henson & Kermit Statue - University of Maryland by ptobery

University of Maryland's Jim Henson and Kermit Statue was captured with 2D photos and meshed together into a 3D model. To learn more, please contact the John & Stella Graves MakerSpace in McKeldin Library.
The statue was captured using 123D Catch on an Android phone. I Used the desktop version of 123D Catch to mesh the pictures together to create an .obj file. I then used both NetFabb and 123D Design to edit the model since there was a ton of webbing and missing parts in the scan. A total of about 50 hours was used to clean up the 3D model before the first print.
