Jefferson Main Street in 3D - Historical Jackson County Courthouse. This is a model of the historical Jackson County courthouse as of March 2011. This building was the fourth courthouse built for Jackson County, Georgia. It was originally built in 1879. The clock tower was added in 1906. The original architectural style was Vernacular. The designer was W.W. Thomas. The county has spent a lot of time and money restoring this building in the past two years. The outside was completely restored and refurbished. It now has a beautiful red roof and one of the additions from the 1960s was completely torn away. (You may still see the old addition on the flat 2-D Imagery but it is no longer there) What you see in this model is how it currently looks. Model work by Joel Logan & Joshua Young. This latest version is revised to the new imagery just put in google maps recently(March 2011).
