Iron man is a 2008 science fiction action film about the adventures of the marvel comics character of the same name. The film was made by Marvel Studios under the direction of Jon Favreau, and the role of the main character — Tony stark, industrialist and inventor of genius, who developed an exoskeleton to escape from captivity and later became a superhero named Iron man, played by Robert Downey Jr. Also in the film played Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard, Jeff bridges, Leslie Bibb, Sean Tobe, Faran Tair, Clark Gregg, Paul Bettany and Tim geaney.
The film was developed since the 1990s by Universal Studios, 20th Century Fox and New Line Cinema, and in 2006 Marvel Studios bought the rights to shoot. For Marvel it was the first completely financially independent project. Favreau, after becoming the Director of filming, decided to shoot the film primarily in California to distinguish Iron man among the many superhero films shot in new York. During filming, the actors were free to change their dialogue, because all attention was focused on the plot of the film. Rubber and metal armor created by Stanley Winston were supplemented with computer graphics to create the main character.
The film was well received by the public, especially praised the acting of Robert Downey[2]. The American film Institute included Iron man in the top ten films of 2008. Downey, Favreau and Paltrow participated in the sequel Iron man 2, released on may 7, 2010. Downey also played a cameo role of Tony stark in the sci-Fi Thriller the Incredible Hulk. The film was given a PG-13 rating by the motion picture Association of America (children under 13 with parents only) because of the sci-Fi bias and violence. Iron man marked the beginning of the film universe, developed by Marvel Studios.
