I originally designed this stand to hold my iPhone 5 so I could take time lapse photos of a culture in a petri dish. This iPhone stand holds the phone steady with the focal length required to fill the field of view with a clear, focused image.
It works perfectly for time lapse photography, but can also be used to photograph any flat or nearly flat object that fits under the stand.
Ironically, it works perfectly for making online electronic deposits of bank checks that require a photo of the front and back. Time lapse is a lot more fun, but this definitely saves a trip to the ATM if your bank supports online deposits.
