This is an IoT roll printer that can connect to IBM Bluemix (Node red) to receive information. It can write the time, weather, pollen numbers and tweets.
It uses 3 servo motors to control the pen that writes and a stepper motor to wind up the paper roll. The housing is made from laser cut acrylic and plywood.
The plotter itself is a modified version of the Plotclock by joo.
We are six people from Technical University of Denmark and we designed it as a part of the course Mechatronics Design (41030).
