The EPLC2-DNS-400W-IPC from Larson Electronics is an Internal Photocell Dusk to Dawn Sensor that automatically operates luminaries when ambient light levels drop below certain levels. This 400 watt rated day/night sensor is ideal for walkways, bridges, security lighting, industrial platforms and any wet or hazardous location.

The EPLC2-DNS-400W-IPC can be mounted internally within LED light fixtures for field installation, reducing additional installation. This dusk to dawn sensor is offered in 120V, 208-240V, and 277V configurations, covering a wide voltage range to meet all applications. This photocell automatically powers on luminaries when ambient light drops below 3 foot-candles, and powers luminaries off when ambient light reaches above 8 foot-candles. There is a 10 second time delay to eliminate accidental tripping of the light fixtures.

The lens or "eye" of the EPLC2-DNS-400W-IPC is rated for Class I Division 2 Groups A, B, C & D hazardous areas, but the rest of the unit must be contained within a rated light, box or enclosure to be completely explosion proof for those Class I Division 2 locations.

*PLEASE NOTE: The EPLC2-DNS-400W-IPC must be mounted within a light fixture, device box, or electrical enclosure. The "eye" of the photocell can be exposed to Class I, Division 2 environments, but the electrical enclosure of the unit must be installed within an appropriate enclosure. For independent units, please contact Larson Electronics.
