These parts fit the 45" radio controlled Messerschmitt Bf 109 Dora model of my design. This model was released as a free digital plan in the September 2016 issue of Model Aviation magazine. The collection includes a pair of exhaust stacks for the Dora variant, an instrument panel, and a scale 2-blade spinner. A 3-blade spinner for the Emil variant can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4788962
The spinner is a 2-piece assembly. The nose cone snaps into the backing plate. The OD is 79mm. The length is 46mm. This spinner works well with an AXI 2814 motor with the prop-drive adapter.
NOTE: the spinner plate has been improved by adding two thin cylinders to the propeller hub pocket. These cylinders make the part easier to print. Break them both out and clean up the pocket area before use.
For the spinner, three files are included. File Bf109-spinner_v4 includes both the spinner cone and its backing plate. Some folks had issues printing the two parts separately when they came from a single file. In response, individual files for the spinner and cone have been added. The separate parts are identical to the parts combined in the single file.
Follow the AMA Safety Code when using this part! Propellers and spinners that rotate at high speed are inherently dangerous. Use extreme care in fabricating and using this part. Use at your own risk!
