Smallest possible swim-in-place swimming pool I could design (you tie off a harness around your waist and struggle against it see ipool videos and amazon for ipool). Designed for 3 feet water. The 2x4's are placed 5' and 19' above ground for equal force on them with no torque on the 1/2' thick 4x8 plywood sheets. You drill and smooth the corners of 1/2' vertical holes 5' from each end of the 2x4's in the two 8' sections (8 holes total) to wrap 1/2' diameter nylon cord 500 lb working load) around each end of the 'coffin' (smooth plywood edges where nylon wraps). Nylon goes in a loop and is tied with a surgeons knot (which does not weaken the cord much, does not slip, can be untied, and is easy to get right. Other knot bends like flemish, blood, and carrick, and double fisherman did not have the properties I sought). The polygon's corners must fit on a circle in order for the shape to be stable (maximum area for given side lengths) without floor supports (each corner will have equal force equal to the radius in meters of the circle time 500 kg (3 feet deep is 1000 kg/m^2 and average side force is half). Two cords doing a loop around each end requires only 1.65 meters radius * 500 / 4 sections in 2 loops on each end *2.2 lbs/kg = 453 pounds in each section length of cord. 500 pound rating is 10 to 15 times actual strength of cord. Raove ground pool liner needs a cove at the bottom corners and padding everywhere. Trust these words at your own risk. #everpool #ezpool #indoor_swimming_pool #ipool #swiminplace
