I build and sell ham radio antennas and I needed a good way to display them at my booth at Dayton Hamvention -- so I designed this.
There are three pieces -- the base, the support, and the lip. The lip is optional, it just makes it look a little nicer by providing trim around the top. You'll need some sort of tubing; I used clear acryllic tubes from here: https://www.tapplastics.com/product/plastics/plastic_rods_tubes_shapes/clear_acrylic_tubes/141
The size is "OD 3 x 6 ft x 2 3/4 ID Clear 1/8 wall" - as specified, the outer diameter should be 3" with a 1/8" thick wall. I glued it in with an acrylic epoxy, but I imagine normal 5 minute epoxy would work great. I recommend finding some way to add weight to the base -- print with heavy infill or heavy material, add some kind of weight, etc -- and then the support will take any 1/4" diameter rod (wood, metal, plastic, etc). Glueing that on is the hardest part. The taller it is the more likely you'll need to move the support further forward or add more weight to the base.
in the pictures above I had to actually tape the back on because the base wasn't heavy enough -- I might add holes for weights to be inserted in the base next time.
Edit 5/6/2019: Instead of adding weights, I decided to add a front piece that the metal rods go into at the bottom which provides additional support and also a place where I can put a price tag (front support.stl)
