The parameterized mouthpiece by CKirby - now improved.
Note that this errors in customizer without a clear message. It does not in openSCAD. Still trying to find out why.
What I changed:
four outer design shapes: straight, straight with rim for text edge, rounded and concave
A resolution can be chosen for the sampling from the bezier curves forming the cup, rim and outer shape
much higher default resolution. Takes 10 minutes to render on my i7 macbook
default settings correspond to a wide shallow commercial sounding bass trombone piece, a bit like the Marcinkiewicz ETB-3 mouthpiece but a bit more shallow.
when printing one-piece, adds a raft along the top of the shank. That way, a slicer can add support below that, so your mouthpiece will not fall over during printing.
The original Bach-like oversized rounded outer design shape is no longer included, but is easy to add if you want.
See photso for a test print at 0.15mm layer thickness. I hope to do a much higher resolution print soon for a very smooth result.
